Importance of Team Fundraising
Participation in AIDS Walk
A good way to start fundraising is to sponsor yourself. Remember, the first fundraising incentive level is only $75.
The most successful way to fundraise is to ask! Make sure to ask your friends, family and co-workers to sponsor you for AIDS Walk. Every dollar counts in your efforts to raise money! If asking for money is uncomfortable – be creative in your “ask” approach! Host a yard sale, bake sale, dress down (or dress-up) day at work, have a penny contest, host a house party, send emails using AIDS Walk’s online fundraising tools, but most important – have fun!
Remember you’re not asking for yourself – you’re asking for money so that Colorado AIDS Project and the fundraising teams of more than 30 additional AIDS service and education providers throughout the state can continue to provide support to those living with HIV and AIDS and prevention efforts.
When a team member reaches $75 in donations they will receive the official AIDS Walk
